In celebration of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, various organizations from throughout Livingston will be working on different service projects.  

All are welcome to join in and lend a hand and in some instances, donate some supplies.


Girl Scout Projects include: 

Troop 20018 -- Color-A-Smile 

Troop 20302 -- American Girl Doll Scarves for Mt Pleasant Animal Shelter Fair (DONATIONS OF YARN NEEDED)

Troop 20735 -- Adopt-a-Grandparent Program (DONATIONS OF GAMES INCLUDING:  UNO, LARGE PRINT PLAYING CARDS, BINGO, RUMMIKUB, NO STRESS CHESS, FIND IT, CHECKERS AND MONOPOLY JR.)

Troop 20920 – Emily Nevola  (Gold Award Project) Sports Equipment Collection (DONATIONS OF GENTLY USED SPORTS EQUIPMENT)

Troop 2059 -- Meghan Nevola (Silver Award Project) Art Supply Collection (DONATIONS OF PAINTS, BRUSHES, CRAYONS MARKERS AND AIR DRY CLAY)

Troop 22893 – Clothing Drive (DONATIONS OF GENTLY USED CLOTHING)

Troop 20593 -- Bat Boxes including Information about bats

As always, there will be food drives for CHOW and toiletry donations for the Troops.

Livingston High School is a comprehensive public high school that serves 1,600+ students in grades 9-12. Approximately 97 percent of each graduating class attends a college, university or other post-secondary institution.

Livingston High School is one of New Jersey’s “best” high schools, according to New Jersey Monthly magazine. Newsweek magazine’s May 2007 rating of the country’s top high schools placed Livingston as the 20th highest-ranked school in New Jersey. 

Students pursue an appropriate academic program encouraging active involvement in learning. Fields of study include art, business, computer studies, English, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies, technology, world languages and other disciplines.

More than 75 percent of the professionals at Livingston High School hold master’s degrees, and approximately 3 percent of the staff hold doctorate degrees.
