The Livingston Old Guard, sponsored by the Livingston Division of Senior, Youth and Leisure services, is a social club for men age 55 and over. The club is a place where the men gather, every Tuesday, to engage in programs, activities, events and lectures. The members of the Old Guard also formed leisure clubs within the guard which include the bocce, bowling, cards, choral, computer, financial information, pocket pool and shuffleboard clubs. More About Township of Livingston - Recreation Department
The Township of Livingston Recreation Department, officially called Senior, Youth & Leisure Services (SYLS), is headquartered in the Livingston Senior and Community Center on Hillside Avenue. It administers the parks and recreational facilities around town. Residents should apply to this department for permits and registration for the community pools, sports fields, tennis courts and the use of community centers.
For youth, the department offers sports and swim programs in the local parks, plus a variety of summer camp programs. Seniors can get information on NJ EASE and other services and can enjoy a variety of senior programs and events at the Center throughout the year.
