Livingston Lancer Jazz Band and Lab Band Valentine’s Dinner Dance

This event is a fundraiser for the Band Boosters, who support all the bands and grant scholarships to graduating seniors. The Lancer Jazz Band and Lab Band will provide fabulous entertainment, playing music from the 40's, 50's, and 60's. The cafeteria will have a hugh dance floor for dancing!  Anthony Francos will serve a delicious pasta and meatball dinner.  The cost is $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens/students, and $5 for children under 12.  Tickets will be sold in advance and can be purchased by sending a check made out to LHS Band Boosters to Debbie Saltzman, 20 West Lawn Road, Livingston, NJ 07039. (The snow date will be Sunday, February 12, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.)  If you have questions, please contact Jim Hegedus, Director of the Lancer Jazz Band, at jhegedus@livingston.org  Come out and swing to those great tunes while supporting a great cause!

Livingston High School is a comprehensive public high school that serves 1,600+ students in grades 9-12. Approximately 97 percent of each graduating class attends a college, university or other post-secondary institution.

Livingston High School is one of New Jersey’s “best” high schools, according to New Jersey Monthly magazine. Newsweek magazine’s May 2007 rating of the country’s top high schools placed Livingston as the 20th highest-ranked school in New Jersey. 

Students pursue an appropriate academic program encouraging active involvement in learning. Fields of study include art, business, computer studies, English, mathematics, music, physical education, science, social studies, technology, world languages and other disciplines.

More than 75 percent of the professionals at Livingston High School hold master’s degrees, and approximately 3 percent of the staff hold doctorate degrees.
