In the short time we’ve been running Visions for Vacancies on Livingston Patch, we’ve run the gamut of comments and suggestions for what to do with vacant properties. Via email and comments, we’ve learned Livingston Patch readers want a supermarket — in the worst way. We’ve heard your pleas for Whole Foods, Wegmans and Fairway Markets. When we launched our first two Visions for Vacancies columns the last two Fridays on Livingston Patch, we didn't expect the focus of our reader's responses.The first week, we focused on the vacant Pathmark supermarket site in the Village at Livingston near the Livingston Circle. Last week, we focused on the vacant Linens N Things site at 530 W. Mount Pleasant Ave. Both stories garnered more than 450 readers. When we launched our initial Visions for Vacancies column last Friday afternoon on Livingston Patch, we asked you for advice on what you would like to see at the site of the former Village at Livingston Pathmark. It’s been nine months since Pathmark shuttered its doors at the Village at Livingston location near the Livingston Circle.
