Snapshot: Memorial Day Parade

Livingston marks Memorial Day.

Not even the hot temperature could stop residents from enjoying Livingston's 60th Annual Memorial Day Parade, which ran along Livingston Avenue and ended at Congressional Parkway.  More than 70 community groups, including scouting and sporting groups, participated.

Before the parade, a memorial service was held at the Oval to commemorate those who have died defending the United States.  Livingston's Township Council and Mayor Johnson were in attendance at the ceremony.

With the heat, the Grace Lutheran Church generously provided the parade's participants with water. TD Bank gave away free frisbees to kick-off the unofficial start of summer.
