Livingston To Hold Township Recycling Event Saturday
Electronics may be recycled, paper documents may be shredded.
Livingston will hold its annual spring electronics recycling and paper shredding event 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday in the parking lot of the Livingston Senior and Community Center, located at 204 Hillside Ave.
Electronic items that will be accepted for recycling include: computers, monitors, flat screens, printers, copiers, fax machines, scanners, keyboards, laptops, cables, telephones and telephone systems.
Other electronic items that will be accepted for recycling include: televisions, VCRs, stereos, radios, DVD players, microwave ovens, toasters, irons, cell phones, pagers, electronic games, CDs, disks, zip drives, printer and fax cartridges, tapes and rechargeable batteries. Commercial and large recycling quanities may pay a small charge and must pre-register with Advanced Recovery Inc. at (845) 858-8809.
Only residential paper documents will be accepted for recycling. All types of paper will be accepted excluding hard-covered books, paper clips, binders and other fastened documents.
The event is sponsored by the Livingston Township Council, the township recycling and reclaiming committee, the township's environmental commission, and living green initiative.
