Livingston Tech Firm Moves to Newark

Phone.com will be headquartered at startup center on NJIT campus

A six-year-old telecommunications company is moving its headquarters from Livingston to downtown Newark, the firm announced in a statement.

Phone.com, which provides cloud telephone services to small business, will be moving to the Enterprise Development Center on the campus of the New Jersey Institute of Technology, an incubator of startup companies.

"We have been looking forward to this move for a long time," said Phone.com CEO Ari Rabban. "With our offices in Newark, we will be able to build stronger ties with the technology community and will also have closer contact with the students and graduates of NJIT, who have an illustrious history of technology innovation. "

The move follows a recent injection of funding from ff Venture Capital and the Edison Innovation Venture Capital Growth Fund, which is managed by the state Economic Development Authority.

Phone.com was recently recognized by INC500 as one of the fastest growing telecom companies in the United States.
