Indian School Holds Annual Day Cultural Event

Students share their skills and talents at Friday's celebration.

On Friday, the Indian School in Livingston held its Annual Day Celebration at Heritage Middle School. The event celebrates Indian culture and showcases what the students learn at the school, which is held on Friday nights from September to June.

The Indian School's mission helps to promote Indian Culture and gives children the opportunity to learn the Hindi language, obtain a basic understanding of major religions and regions in India, and also provides a social network by enabling children greater interaction among other children of the Indian community.

Patch videographer Nilsa De La Cruz was there to capture the colorful celebration.
