Gov. Christie Loses His Cool at the Jersey Shore

The governor was caught on video berating a heckler on the Seaside Heights Boardwalk.

Maybe it's the summer heat.

Governor Chris Christie can't seem to keep a lid on his temper these days.

For the second time in a week, Christie lost his cool in public.

While on vacation with his family in Seaside Heights on Thursday, Christie lashed out at a passerby on the Boardwalk, the Huffington Post reports. The passerby made a derisive comment about the governor's education policies, according to TMZ.com

Last week, the governor berated a reporter during a press conference, after the reporter asked an off-topic question.

Despite the recent flare-ups, the Republican governor is considered a front-runner for the GOP vice-presidential nomination.

He is not a candidate for any office. He has too much anger, and that is not what
we need in a leader.

His attitude is one of the reasons people in the rest of the country think all New Jerseyan's are classless, tacky, loudmouths. He's gotta go!

Christie is a political figure with the worst attitude I have seen .
His responses to people who oppose him or say anything unfavorable is childish and rude .
He has no class and his people skills are poor .
Calling people names is so immature .
He should have more restraint when dealing with people .
He is a poor example , especially to young people .

As Bill Maher commented last week in regard to the republican party desire for Christie to be the VP candidate, "Now many Republicans of course want naugahyde beanbag chair and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie as Mitt’s second in command, and it’s hard to look at him and not think number two."

"[B]erating a heckler"?

When one chooses to heckle, he or she deserves whatever he or she gets.

Here though, the unfortunate act was not the confrontation, but seeing that poor, little ice-cream cone, dwarfed by our slovenly governor.

The passer-by probably was a teacher. Frankly what is more upsetting is that our beloved Christie was having an ice cream cone.

It is amazing to me how unforgiving people really are, you all should be ashamed of yourselves!!
Did you forget that his two first years that people had nothing nice to say to this man about his weight, how much do you think someone can take and he took it. What does hid weight have to do with his knowledge?
I don't blame him for lashing out, the people of this state want everything and until this were willing to pay for it. Now with the economy the way it is they don't want to pay. I get it, he is trying to fight for us and he gets a kick in the a__!!
Wake up people

His attitude is why some Reps want him to be the President. I don't quite think this would go over well on the national level.

Christie was with his family and, according to the Star Ledger this morning, this man shouted a profanity at him while making his remarks about the teachers union and Christie's handling of them. His children were present and assumed heard it. Would that piss you off? He is heavy handed and worded but he has made more progress to stop the smothering of the middle class than any other Governor of our state in recent years.

I'm sure his children have heard worse profanity and probably from him. If its alright for him to belittle people at Town meetings, then its alright for someone to express their opinions to him. He is a one term Governor and his brashness only goes to show how ignorant he is.

Christie wouldn't win a contest for most elegant or leader with most class, but he has the courage and fortitude to deal with the mess both the State and Country are currently in. Despite the results of this poll, many people like him and the work he has done. We need him here in NJ, but if chosen to run as VP, he'll help the Republicans win.

You must be one of the 1%. I hope he does run as VP, then we will get rid of two morons at the same time.

Why would a political figure in a position of leadership and example not take better care of themselves? There may be an issue here when it comes to self control be it with tempering an emotional outburst or a caloric intake. No disrespect intended here but I can't help see this as a problem when obesity is at record highs. How would you feel if your Dr. was extremely overweight? Does anyone agree or disagree?

Mr Walking BeanBad(Christie) is another Republican fool just like most of the others but not as much as a religious nut. I didnt vote for him and with any luck Romney might pick him as VP and that well definitely clinch it for the Democrats and Obama gets his second term.

Christie thinks much of himself. Those in the country who look to him as a conservative leader are selective readers--they refuse to see his character in full light. This guy doesn't even belong in Trenton, much less Washington. Imagine him in charge of the red button. I'm not knocking his nationality. I'm leveling about a guy who has had political plums handed to him during his entire career and thinks he's god.

The fact that there individuals who believe this windbag is good for the state are also believe in the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and Santa Claus. Mr. Christie is the result of a bad education system that we have in this state, he has become the mascot for what is wrong with New Jersey. Tactless, tasteless moronic individual who kissed enough butts to become the darling of the G.O.P. and Tea Baggers, He has isolated so many with his antics and boorish behavior I would rather have root canal than listen to the New Jersey Windbag. Pleaseeeeeeeeee! Candidate for Veep bring back Palin she makes like a Rocket Scientist

The gov's education decisions will not be felt for some time. He is following the model of other states whose education systems have tanked (NC, FL, etc.). Trust me, when no one becomes a teacher in NJ because their salary will not support living here, there will be a shortage of teachers but, it will be too late. NJ's public education system will tank to the bottom, the children will be the real losers, and Christie will get rewarded with a promo to VP. Wake up NJ!

His girth is only exceeded by his ego. PROVABLY a patholgical lier who denogrates law enforcement & teachers, yet on record "supporting" them prior to his election. IF there's another poor choice selection re: V.P. running mate, than the outcome will be the same as before for the Republicans, and Obama can start dancing in the streets & not wait even wait till November.
