Career Closet Opens Up
Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Planned at NCJW Center for Women
Career Closet is ready to help women dress for success, with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony tomorrow, Feb. 15 at 2 p.m.
The program, sponsored by the Linda & Rudy Slucker Center for Women of the National Council of Jewish Women, Essex County Section (NCJW/Essex), helps women in need acquire appropriate business attire for job interviews.
Clients, who are referred by social service agencies, consult with a Career Closet personal shopper to assemble a free of charge in-style, mix-and-match starter wardrobe of skirts, blouses, suits, pants, shoes, handbags, and other items.
All items are new or like-new and provided through donations. For many clients, Career Closet offers the opportunity to advance into office positions.
Following the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Career Closet of NCJW will host an open house until 5 p.m. at their offices at 349 E. Northfield Road, Suite LL-1.
The Linda & Rudy Slucker Center for Women (CFW) provides free and low-cost services for women and children. CFW is a project of the NCJW/Essex, a nonsectarian volunteer organization with over 3,000 members. To learn more about the organization and Career Closet, visit their website.
