Stuff the Bus-- Livingston Helps Victims of Hurricane Sandy!
Westminster Hotel has partnered with Livingston BID to be a drop off location for the “Stuff the Bus” program to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy for families in Atlantic City and Ventnor. Starting tomorrow or Thursday, we will begin to receive the goods listed below from members of the Livingston community. On November 30, 2012, the BID will drive a bus to our location and we will “stuff the bus” with all the goods we have collected. The bus will then drive to AC and distribute all the collected items.
Livingston Public Schools along with The Township of Livingston, St. Philomena's Parish, Newark Academy and Kushner Academy have decided to "adopt" the towns of Ventnor and Atlantic City, N.J. to provide assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Many shore towns were hit extremely hard during the hurricane and Atlantic City and Ventnor suffered extensive damage to their businesses,
homes and beach. Both towns have diverse populations that live at the beach year round and many have economic situations that have become untenable after the storm.
The ultimate goal for this initiative is to provide our community with a focused effort to truly make a difference in the lives of residents from another community. Having this central effort will allow everyone to have a vehicle to express their desire to help in a BIG way. Thank you all for getting the word out to your respective customers and clients.
Collection bins will be at schools by Monday, November 12th to start the drive. If you are interested in providing your location as a drop off for this program, please contact Alan Karpas, 973-992-6411.
